Pet Show

The Cotton Pickin’ Pet Show will be held in conjunction with the Cotton Festival in October at the Civic Center in Ville Platte. This event will begin at 4:00 P.M. All 4-H members must be pre-registered by October 1, 2026, to participate in this event. Please clink the link below to register for the pet show.

YOU CAN NOT JUST SHOW UP DAY OF SHOW, and no registrations will be accepted after Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Show Rules:

• The show will be held at the North Side Civic Center under the pavilion.
• Each 4-H member may bring 2 pets
• You may enter your pets in as many classes as you like in the division
• One pet per class
• No large animals or livestock animals (horse, calf, goat, sheep, pig, etc.) No snakes or No Pitbulls!
• Entries are due by 10:00 p.m. October 1! No late entries will be taken and absolutely no entries will be taken at the show.
• All pets must be kept on a leash, in cages, or otherwise under control. No pens, cages, etc. will be provided. You must bring your own. Parents must accompany animal at all times.

*Arrive by 3:45 p.m.

No animals are allowed inside the Civic Center! If you have an animal in the center you will be asked to go outside and if you do not comply then you will be asked to leave and the 4-H'er will be disqualified from any contest they are participating in that day. This is a Civic Center rule that we MUST comply with!

Dog classes are divided into 3 size divisions. Large/Medium, Small, Puppy (any dog less than 8 months old). Any type, size, breed or cross can be shown. (Except Pitbulls)

Pets will show in Division Order: Ring #1 - Cats, Rabbits, Birds, Any other PetRing # 2 - Dogs - Large/Medium, Puppy, Small

Registration will open August 12, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and end October 1, 2026, at 10:00 p.m.
